Do Your Makeup Like a Pro
Make your look last for the long haul—from foundation with staying power to lasting eye shadow and lip color.
Refresh and prep skin with the right eye cream and moisturizer for your skin type. Skin should feel smooth, well-hydrated and soft to the touch before you apply any makeup.
Neutralize and color-correct under eye darkness, including extreme discoloration, with a pink- or peach-toned corrector. Layer a skin tone correct concealer for a seamless transition to the rest of the face.
Find your perfect foundation shade by swatching at least three different colors on the side of your face; the best match will disappear into skin.
Layer blushes for a flush that lasts. Apply a natural shade on the apples of the cheeks, sweep back toward the hairline, then down towards the jawline. Add a pop of brighter blush just on the apples of the cheeks.
Define brows starting at the inner corner or where they’re most sparse. Brush straight up at the head of the brow, then up and over from the arch to the tail of the brow. Choose brow shaper or brow shadow for a natural look, brow pencil for more definition and waterproof brow gel for hold.
Apply three shadows to make eyes stand out: A light base shadow all over the lid; a medium shadow across the lower lid to enhance the shape of your eyes; and a dark shadow along upper and lower lash lines for definition.
Choose a nude lipstick or gloss that matches your lips or is one to two shades brighter or deeper to subtly enhance them and look effortlessly pulled-together.
